The 3d Scientific and Practical Conference The Ural Peaks. Respiratory Infections 2025 was held in Ekaterinburg on October 15–16 as part of the 4th International Forum Days of Virology 2025. The event organized by the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza, and the Ural State Medical University brought together over 1,100 participants in person and online from 36 cities across Russia.

Medin-N LLC
Medin-N LLC is an actively developing enterprise, a recognized leader in the production of surgical needles and sutures in Russia. Since 1992, the company has been supplying surgical suture material to all regions of Russia and neighboring countries. Medin-N LLC offers more than two thousand combinations of absorbable and non-absorbable surgical sutures with atraumatic needles of various lengths and diameters: round, triangular, quadrangular, spatula-shaped, with conical sharpening and grooves.
The specialists of Medin- N LLC, together with the Postovsky Institute of Organic Synthesis, Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, have organized the only chemical production of absorbable polymer materials in Russia based on their own patented technologies. The company sells absorbable surgical products of its own manufacture: braided surgical sutures Sabfil and Sabfil Plus based on the polyglycolic and polylactic acids, absorbable monofilaments based on polydioxanone «Sabmon», absorbable monofilaments Soft Lift based on a copolymer of the lactic acid and ε- Caprolactone with notches for cosmetology, absorbable screws and pins for osteosynthesis. Polymer materials produced by Medin-N LLC are used by Leypunsky Institute of Physics and Power Engineering (IPPE) in the manufacture of absorbable strands for brachytherapy of prostate cancer. In close cooperation with health care institutions, the company is continuously developing import-substituting and innovative surgical products.
Medin-N LLC also produces a line of medical products: a set for infusion into the small veins of newborns, an endoloop for laparoscopic operations, needles for transvaginal follicle puncture, sets for vitrification of embryos/oocytes. The production of calcium phosphate materials for the replacement of bone tissue defects has been organized.
